VIP Today Magazine — Privacy Notice

This notice explains how your personal data is handled when you subscribe to VIP Today Magazine. It complements our general Privacy Policy.

Who we are

VIP Today Magazine and VIP Today Luxury Marketing & PR are trading names of Albert Simó Torres, a sole trader, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Address: 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, United Kingdom. Contact: viptodaymagazine@viptodaybusiness.com.

What we collect

  • Your first and last name and email address
  • Your role and the sector you work in
  • A record of your consent (date, time and the form you used)
  • Basic engagement data for each issue, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked

Why we use it and on what basis

  • To send you VIP Today Magazine: based on your consent.
  • To tailor the content of each issue to your role and sector: based on your consent.
  • To understand how the magazine is read and improve it: based on our legitimate interest in running the publication. This is done at an aggregated level.

To describe our readership to potential sponsors we only use aggregated, anonymous figures (for example, the share of readers by sector). No sponsor ever receives your name, email or any data that identifies you.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with sponsors, partners or any third party for their own marketing. Sponsored content may appear in the magazine, always clearly labelled, but it is delivered by us.

Who processes your data on our behalf

We use an email service provider to manage subscriptions and send the magazine, and a hosting provider for our website. Both act as processors under a data processing agreement and may only use your data on our instructions.

International transfers

If any of these providers processes data outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we only allow it where appropriate safeguards are in place, such as an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete your profile and keep only your email address on a suppression list, so that we never write to you again unless you subscribe once more.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every issue or by writing to viptodaymagazine@viptodaybusiness.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you live in the European Union, to the data protection authority of your country.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the magazine before they take effect.
