At a glance: The 8th Luxury Innovation Summit & Awards took place on 1–2 October 2026 at the InterContinental Genève, under the theme “Proof Over Promise. The New Luxury Playbook.” The five Luxury Innovation Awards 2026 went to CURLTURES (Emerging Luxury Brand), Temyris (Luxury Craft and Design), JaneClare (Luxury Experience Innovation), novanoma (Sustainable and Circular Luxury) and DUST Identity (Technology for Luxury). The common thread: luxury brands are now judged on what they can prove, not on what they promise.
Why “Proof Over Promise” matters now
Heritage, storytelling and desire are no longer enough to hold a luxury brand’s value. Clients, partners and investors want evidence: of product excellence, of operational discipline, and of the ability to create lasting value while staying culturally relevant.
That was the starting point for the 2026 Geneva edition. Organised by Maison LVG (Luxury Venture Group), the Summit was founded in 2019 by Deependra Pandey and has since brought together more than 3,000 global leaders, 1,500 startups and 250 speakers from over 40 countries.
This year’s edition was chaired by Morin Oluwole, luxury and digital strategy advisor, former Global Luxury Director at Meta and CEO and co-founder of Le Vitruve. C-suite executives, founders and investors worked around three strategic pillars: value, trust and relevance.
The credibility economy: six priorities for luxury
The Summit’s central thesis is that luxury has entered a credibility economy. Brands are judged by what they can prove commercially, operationally, culturally and technologically. The organisers broke this down into six priorities:
- Value beyond price
- Trust and product truth
- Connected experience
- AI at scale
- Circular lifetime value
- Relevance across generations and markets
According to the organisers’ post-event communication on LinkedIn, day one covered governance, pricing authority and circular integrity. Day two turned to long-term relevance: engaging next-generation clients, managing the internal innovation agendas of heritage Maisons and proving value beyond conventional loyalty.
A clear example was the panel “The Value Test: Can Luxury Still Defend Price?”, with Alexis Amann, Chief Data Officer at Luxurynsight. The discussion looked at how brands justify price through product authority, service excellence, client lifetime value and pricing discipline, and at the tension between desirability and accessibility.
Speakers, jury and partners
The speaker line-up included:
- Jean-Christophe Babin, Chairman of Bulgari and President of Geneva Watch Days (keynote conversation)
- Nina Müller, CEO of Lalique Group and Jury President of the Awards
- Stefano Volpetti, Chief Global Growth Officer, Philip Morris International
- Gaëlle Devins, Chief Customer Officer, Breitling
- Florian Hachenberger, Managing Director, Bosch Secure Authentication
- Catherine Eberle-Devaux, Watch Communication Director at Bvlgari (LVMH) and Managing Director of Geneva Watch Days
The eight-member Awards jury, led by Nina Müller, included Fabienne Lupo (founder of ReLuxury and President of Geneva Tourism), Arnaud Rossi (Accenture), Nathalie Vranken (Vranken-Pommery) and Andreas Altmann (GIBERG). Official partners included Champagne Pommery, Philip Morris International, Geneva Tourism and GIBERG, as reported by UnternehmerZeitung.
Who won the Luxury Innovation Awards 2026?
The ceremony was held on 1 October in Geneva. One winner per category, and together they sketch a clear map of where luxury innovation is going: inclusion, reinvented craftsmanship, holistic experience, alternative materials and verifiable trust.
| Category | Winner | Origin | What it proves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emerging Luxury Brand | CURLTURES | France | Inclusion can create a category |
| Luxury Craft and Design | Temyris | France | Craftsmanship can be circular |
| Luxury Experience Innovation | JaneClare | Hong Kong | Experience is the product |
| Sustainable and Circular Luxury | novanoma | Japan | Materials can be grown, not extracted |
| Technology for Luxury | DUST Identity | USA | Authenticity can be physically unclonable |
CURLTURES: inclusion as a luxury category
CURLTURES is the first luxury brand dedicated to textured hair: waves, curls, kinks and coils. It was founded by Priscilla Rossi, Deputy Head of Strategy at Publicis Groupe, and Romain Borgnino, a former BCG consultant, and launched in October 2025.
Its flagship Oil Fragrances blend 80% precious oils (desert date, cherry, amla, jojoba, castor) with 20% alcohol-free perfume at extrait concentration, using fragrance extracts from Grasse. The objects come in sculptural glass, dark-stained beechwood and brushed steel.
For decades, beauty treated textured hair as a problem to tame or straighten. CURLTURES treats it as luxury territory, bringing together high perfumery, hair science and design.
Temyris: heritage craftsmanship, reinvented
Temyris, founded in 2020 by Aurore Vast and Paul Teyssedre, revives the beauty minaudière: the 20th-century object that holds a perfume atomiser, a lipstick and a powder compact in the palm of the hand.
Each piece uses semi-precious stones (malachite, sardonyx, lapis lazuli, mother-of-pearl), marquetry, engraved medallions and gold-plated brass. Everything is refillable and made by French artisans, with prices from €2,300 to €3,200. The name refers to Tomyris, the legendary queen of the Massagetae.
JaneClare: wellness as a complete experience
JaneClare is a Hong Kong skincare brand founded in 2003 by Lee Wai Yin, who previously became the first woman to be made an international partner at her law firm. The brand combines traditional Chinese medicine with transdermal technology, using a “Water-in-Oil-in-Water” (WOW) penetration system, and runs a Transdermal TCM Therapy Laboratory with Hong Kong Baptist University.
Its Wellness Concept Store (康膚薈) in Tsim Sha Tsui brings together interactive health zones, personalised consultations, live manufacturing and spa treatments. The space won Gold at the iida Award Milan 2024. JaneClare doesn’t just sell products; it sells an ecosystem.
novanoma: gemstones that grow
novanoma, founded by Japan’s Masanori Kirihara, creates “a new category of plant-based gemstones born from coexistence with nature.” It was previously a finalist in the Kering Generation Award x Jewelry.
It addresses one of luxury’s hardest problems, material sustainability. Value no longer depends on mineral scarcity but on biological innovation.
DUST Identity: trust that can’t be copied
DUST Identity, based in Framingham, Massachusetts, uses engineered nanodiamonds to create discreet, durable physical markers that cannot be cloned. Each marker is linked to a digital record that grows over the product’s lifetime, enabling authentication, traceability and tamper detection.
In June 2026 it announced a partnership with Selinko (TOPPAN Group), a digital product identity platform used by more than 40 luxury brands, to integrate its technology with NFC and Digital Product Passports. In January 2026 it launched diamond-based security labels with Securikett. The company raised a $10 million Series A led by Kleiner Perkins in 2019.
What “Proof Over Promise” means for luxury digital marketing
The winners share something: none of them won on narrative. Each one shows something that can be checked.
That shift is already happening online. When a high-net-worth client researches a brand, the first answer increasingly comes from Google’s AI results, ChatGPT or Perplexity rather than from the brand’s own website. Those systems don’t reward the best-told story. They reward what they can verify and cite: consistent data, third-party mentions, clear product facts, documented expertise.
For a luxury brand, that has three practical consequences:
- Claims need sources. “Exceptional craftsmanship” says nothing to a search engine or a language model. Materials, origin, process and price range do.
- Your reputation lives off your site. Press coverage, awards, expert reviews and directories carry more weight than your own copy, and they need to be managed as part of SEO and PR, not separately.
- AI visibility can be measured. Whether your brand appears, how it’s described and who is cited instead of you can be audited. Most luxury brands haven’t done it yet.
In short, the credibility economy the Summit described doesn’t end at the product. It extends to how a brand is found, described and recommended online.
